Hold to the Word

As Welsh Road Church continues in our pursuit of church revitalization, our eyes turn to Paul’s letters that he wrote to his protégé, Timothy, aptly titled, 1-2 Timothy. Paul planted numerous churches, including the churches in Corinth, Ephesus, Philippi, and Thessalonica. However, after Paul left the church of Ephesus in particular, the church slid into disfunction and false teaching. Paul sent his young disciple, Timothy, to revitalize the church at Ephesus. Contained within the books of 1-2 Timothy is the blueprint for church revitalization. The two prominent themes that we see throughout these books is: 1) the importance of church structure and, 2) the importance of sound doctrine. May we be challenged and encouraged by Paul’s letters to Hold to the Word.

Get Involved

The church is commissioned by the Lord to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and prepare its members to do the same.  Welsh Road Church takes these responsibilities seriously and has ministries in place to help carry out this mission.  Worship ministries help us focus on bringing glory to our God.  Teaching (or discipleship) ministries help us clearly teach God’s message in the Bible to people of all ages and levels of understanding.  Missions and Outreach ministries help us reach into the local community and the world with the salvation and hope we have found in Jesus Christ.

The Bible teaches us that we are saved for a purpose.  All believers are encouraged to become an active member of a local church, using their gifts to serve the Lord and share His love to the world.  We encourage every member of God’s family to get connected and to use their gifts for His glory.

Visit Us

From the opening pages of the Bible to the end, we read that God made us to know Him and to enjoy a relationship with Him.  Whether you are seeking to know more about God or you already have a relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ, we hope that you’ll join us this Sunday as we worship Him and seek to know and enjoy Him more.

Our Mission

The mission of Welsh Road Church is to bring glory to God through our worship of Him, by equipping the saints for the work of ministry, and evangelizing the world.

Our Vision

Welsh Road Church will thrive in its strategic location by doing all things for the glory of God: preaching the treasures of Christ in a clear and applicable way, building up the body to do the work of the ministry, raising up leaders within the church, creating an engaging worship service, ministering to our community’s needs, and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Creation. Fall. Redemption. Consummation.

Visiting a new church for the first time can be awkward. But taking that leap is a wonderful chance to find a space where you feel cherished and supported. Give us a chance, and you’ll discover how wonderful our congregation is.
